Bing Crosby Has Nothing on Us!

White Christmas?  Yup, we got it.

We received about 18 inches of snow in the last 24 hours (and more snow before that) - enough that Gary had to use the snow blower to cut a path for the girls in the backyard so they didn't (completely) founder in the deep snow.  With the path cut the girls were able to frolic and wallow with wild abandon!

Abby got a little stuck here...

Well, more than a little stuck!

At least I didn't have to break out the shovel!
Fi loved springing in and out of the snow!

Oh yeah! There's no zoomies like snow zoomies!

Yup, the path was a big help in navigating the back yard!

And it allowed for much ear flappage!

Happy snow dog!

The picture of contentment!

Gary may not be thrilled about clearing the driveway multiple times a day, and I had an interesting (but thankfully uneventful) commute, but the girls are happy - which is really all that matters!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Bouncy Doodles

I have been working diligently on all the holiday photo sessions I've done, but I haven't neglected the girls.  I've even managed to get a few photos of the girls.  While our snow storms haven't really be 'storms' the girls have still been enjoying playing in the dust.

I think this photo is going to have to end up as a 20x30 print. Or canvas.  Or something nice and big!

And yeah, the 85mm totally rocks!

Good Times!

In the midst of all the holiday photo sessions, I've been finding time to get some photos of the girls.  And yes, I'm still figuring out how far I can 'push' the 85mm f/1.8 in low light, and bright light - and since I'm throwing a lot of frisbees, the girls are game to let me play with the camera all I want!

Seriously, how awesome is this?

Yep, this lens is fantastic!!!  (And I have great models, too!)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Although either give us 5 feet of snow, so I have a "snow day" from work, or just a couple of inches so the commute isn't too bad!  *grin*

We actually only got about 5 inches or so, but the girls were quite happy with it!

Happy snow dogs!

Christmas Comes Early

Thanks to a generous contribution, I was able to purchase the much coveted and desired 85mm f/1.8G Nikkor lens I mentioned before.

I only played around with it for a little bit of time late this afternoon, but so far, I am wildly impressed.

Thanks Mom and Dad!
