Project 365 - Day 145

You can't ever go wrong with dog photos.

I've finally figure out what she's doing! Backstroke! And if the grass gets much longer, she'll need it so she doesn't get lost in the grass!

Can't catch, doesn't care.

Looks cute running around with a frisbee.

Cue the Ennio Morricone music....

Clean hit or a red card?

Project 365 - Day 144

Yesterday's storm has cleared out, and we had a beautiful, albeit slightly brisk walk this morning.  (Not to worry - it's supposed to warm up this walk, and I'll have to tackle the jungle that our lawn has become before we start losing the dogs in the grass!) But until the lawn is mowed, here is a few photos from today's walk.

Sunrise.

A non-Sunday Sunday photo.  (This is the same spot I photograph every Sunday.)

This didn't really come out the way I had hoped - I wanted to get a bit more of the low clouds, but I don't think I had the settings on the camera set up correctly!

Project 365 - Day 143

Snow!  It's May in Utah, so yeah, snow.  I actually have some photos of the snow falling this morning but the camera is in the kitchen and I'm covered in dogs, so I'll post them tomorrow.  But here are some photos from my phone.

I don't need to water the lawn for a bit!

The Sunday walk photo.

We got a break in the weather for the last bit of the walk.

And Elwood and the band rehearsed today.

The audience was entranced!

Project 365 - Day 142

It's been a while since I've done any studio shooting (and quickly realized that Lucy-Fur needs some alone time in the studio - she's only every done those shoots with Daisy, and she doesn't quite know how to be a supermodel all on her own - she keeps nudging in closer for snacks).  But, I was really thinking of getting some photos of Daisy on a black background, so it worked out!

Super snooter shooter!

Stunning girl!

But it's not like I ignored Lucy-Fur.  We got out for some zoomies and bitey-face!

These two are quiet... too quiet...

Anti-gravity field still working!

Project 365 - Day 141

Dinner.  (Some of it, at least.)

Portobello mushrooms.

Haricot verts.

And, when your yoga buddy *really* doesn't want to get up from her nap, you work around her...

Project 365 - Day 140

A few random photos (I've been busy most of the day trying to figure out how to best model and interpret interactions in regression models...)

This was just for me to visualize the different groups - not so much for the investigator yet. The vexing one is the interaction between the ischemic and non-ischemic heart failure patients in the pre-diabetic patients  - the red solid and dashed lines - (these are fit lines for analysis of covariance models).

The hills are coming alive!

Sisterly love!

It's not easy being out in a windy day when you've got fluffy ears!

Project 365 - Day 139

Some yoga photos. (You were warned.)

Opening the yoga app.

Three-legged dog.

Tree pose.

Some crazy "hip opener" balancing posture. Gravity won more than once!

Lucy was helping to check my form.

Yoga-interruptus.

Project 365 - 137 & 138

Day 137

I was busy finishing up the animal shelter photos, so another compressed set of days. Of course, yesterday really only yielded one not-very-good photo of one of our neighborhood hawks.

Not a very good photo (still working out how to get the camera steady when fully zoomed out), but the thing I like about it is that I actually managed to see the hawk perched up in the tree (I should have gotten a non-zoomed in photo so you could see how far away the hawk was).  One of the reasons I wanted a super-zoom camera was to get back to the 'mindfulness' of the walk - looking around and actually seeing things rather than just being caught up in my own head. I might not have the best photo of the hawk, but the fact that I saw him and wasn't just thinking about what I had to do at work is a big win!  So, I'll take this photo.

Day 138

More birds because, well, see above. Looking for birds and hoping I get the camera out of my pocket and turned on and zoomed in before they fly off is vastly more entertaining than going through my to-do list in my head for the n-th time.  And, there is the challenge of trying to actually get the birds in focus...

Mom, here is my bird feeder, hung on the branch of our oak tree with a metal hook. I think we have lazy squirrels, as I can't imagine this would be a challenge for any self-respecting squirrel.

This one didn't quite come out as I had hoped - the sun coming over the hillside made for some interesting light, but I didn't capture it very well.

And if you are sick of birds, well, too bad!  Tomorrow is a "balancing practice" in yoga, so there might be yoga photos!
