Project 365 - Day 43

Winter has finally arrived, and the Donner Party has the right clothing and snacks to (hopefully) ensure that no one has to eat anyone else. Although Daisy might nibble on our hands just to make sure her skills are honed.

"Hey, Dad. Do you have any snacks?"

We couldn't figure out if this plow was broken down, or the driver was just taking a break (I suspect it was having technical issues)...

The snow was coming down hard enough that everything looked like it was in black and white.  So, all of the rest of the photos are in black in white.  (But really, the world was very monochrome!)

Trees on the side of the driveway.

Just a tree on a walk.

We call these trees "The Trees of Doom" because they dump snow on unwary people, and have had branches come down in wet snow - like today, although we didn't see any branches come down - so we try to avoid them.

And this answers the questions of what moose do in the snow; they get snowed upon while they go about their business.

I had a long work day today (surprise, surprise... it's the time of year when the Fellows are realizing they are graduating in June and they need to get their manuscripts written and published, so I'm overwhelmed with work...).  But, I was able to get the beasts out and enjoy some crazy dog zoomies.

They definitely enjoy the snow - good thing, too, as we are supposed to get 12-18 inches over the course of the holiday weekend!
